TonyxReader- Massage

You noticed the way your boyfriend Tony rubbed his shoulders, winching slightly in pain. You gave a small frown, it was clear he had a knot in his muscles but he would never admit that to anyone, you knew what it was like to have a knot in the muscle, before you worked for SHIELD you were a massage therapist so you had a bit of an advantage.

You watched him the entire day, he paid less attention to Fury and he wasn't his normal self, this wasn't like him, he was clearly in pain and discomfort, and not only that but tense, despite the pain he still continued the day.

You sat a good distance in the lab as Tony went his day, he did paused and winched but then continued his work. You frowned slightly.

“Maybe you should rest.” Bruce suggested.

“I'm fine.” Tony told him but winched and then rolled his shoulders.

“Bruce is right Tony.” You joined in. “All this work and lack of rest is not good for your health.”

“Thanks for the concern doll, but I'm fine.”

You sighed, this was not going to be easy at all and this was going to be a long day.

You mumbled and took a sip of your tea which was in the plastic cup as you walked down the corridor. You paused in your walk to see Tony carrying a heavy box. You shook your head and then finished off your tea.

“Seriously Tony, carrying heavy stuff like that box is not healthy, especially with your sore muscles.” You said to him.

“I'm fine sweetness.” Tony grunted out.

You watched him walk into the lab. A sigh escaped your mouth, it wasn't healthy at all. You rubbed the back of your neck, he must be in agony with his shoulders, it hurts just to watch him roll his shoulders and winch in pain.

You sat in a chair currently in a meeting with the rest of the Avengers. Fury was talking but Tony was paying less attention and you knew why.

His brows were furrowed in pain and he was tense once again and not in his relaxed state. You frowned but said nothing else.

Something needed to be done. You sighed and ran your fingers through your hair.

But you needed to do whatever you needed to do alone.

You spotted Stark tower and headed towards it as you shifted your bag. You sighed, once you left SHIELD you had other errands to do, mostly keep some girls from jumping Steve, poor guy and the other errand was to make sure Thor didn't buy the entire stock of PopTart's like the last time where you had many complaints from angry shoppers, yes, you.

You entered the reception of the tower and rolled your shoulders.

“JARVIS, where's Tony?” You asked.

“In his room.” The A.I answered.

You nodded and headed towards the elevator to head towards the floor where Tony's room was. You stepped into the elevator once it reached the ground floor and you pressed the button to go up. You sighed and rubbed your forehead.

You entered the room you shared with Tony, and what do you know, he was there sleeping, the room was dark, the only source of light was the arc reactor in his chest. You observed as he turned onto his stomach and this was your moment. You quietly walked over and began to rub your thumbs on his shoulders.

A groan of satisfaction escaped his mouth. You never noticed he had opened his eyes.

“You should of come to me.” You told him.

“And show the others I was in pain? I think not.”

You shook your head and continued to massage the sore parts.

“You know, having a girlfriend as a former massage therapist is really handy.” Tony commented.

You snickered and continued to massage him.

“How did you get like this anyway?”

“Ah, I messed up on a mission and I crashed into a rock...Hard.”

“Really? Your suit?

“Got ruined in an explosion.”

“Oh, that explains it then.”

Silence but you did continue to get rid of those pesky knots. You smiled to see he was now less tense.

“_____.”

“Yes?”

“Marry me.”

You blinked as Tony turned to face you.

“Eh?”

Tony smirked. “You heard me.”

Before you could even get another word out he pulled a little black box out from the draw next to him.

“That...Was blunt.”

“Well?”

“...Well...Of course.”

The ring was slipped on your finger and you looked at it. Tony rolled back onto his stomach and you went back to massaging.

You walked into the lab and spotted Tony on his chair spinning around.

“I see you're back to normal.” Bruce commented.

Tony came to a pause and grinned. “Sure am.”

He looked at you and winked as you blushed and smiled. Yes, back to normal is right.
